If you have ever owned a pitbull, you know what I’m talking about. They are some of the sweetest, most lovable companions you could ever have. But they are always maligned in the media, because of the irrational fear people have of them.
But it’s ALWAYS true that a dog is a reflection of it’s owner. Always. It’s not the pit bulls fault that they are owned by morons who want “mean” dogs.
Unfortunately, politicians like to take advantage and introduce Breed Specific Legislation, which can negatively impact otherwise law-abiding citizens and their dogs. This is why I am thankful for a new website that is all about pitbulls.
Educate yourself and look at some precious pictures!

We now live in an apartment since I had to move to Louisville for a job change.
An apartment. With two dogs. Dogs that are still puppies at heart.
You can imagine…
It makes for some interesting situations. And life is different when you just can’t let them out in the back yard, but have to walk with them through rain, sleet, snow, tornado, earthquake, volcano eruption….I’m not being melodramatic here at all.

Beware of dog allergies. If you feed your dog the wrong food, that might be the reason they are getting sick. Our dog was throwing up about twice a week. We changed dog food, and now he’s fine.
But it may be deeper. You’re dog could have an allergy. If that’s the case, it may be necessary to get dog food that doesn’t trigger allergies. Or the fancy term, “hypoallergenic dog food”. These have less chemicals, and usually or made of just one type of protein/meat to help avoid reactions. Many dog food manufacturers have their own brands of hypoallergenic dog food, so do some research.
It might take a little testing to find one that your dog doesn’t react too. Of course, there is always the option of making your own food for your pet. It’s a lot easier than it sounds. Most recipes are quick and easy, and require very little ingredients. Sometimes they will even be cheaper in the long run.
You can of course ignore this post if your dog isn’t perpetually sick like ours was

When I come home, one of our dogs (Kaiah) get’s so excited it seems she has a mini-siezure. It’s strange…but it’s almost as if she move SO MUCH that she get’s paralized. It’s so funny and never get’s old.
The other older dog (only by about a year or so) always runs and get’s a toy and sits down. Such opposites. Yet both are very gratifying when I get home. And thanks to the recent study on the chemical released in the brain when you are near your dog, I guess we understand why now.

Our kitchen floor is constantly soaked, because our dogs can’t seem to keep their mouth closed. How about yours?

We’ve been having fun with embroidery, and of course we want to do something related to dogs. There are many free patterns you can get. And of course, if you’re crazy, you can also make embroidery for your dogs to wear.
If you’re double crazy, you can do all of this by hand. But if you’re like us, you can use an embroidery machine. We’ve been using a brother embroidery machine and it’s working out great.

We have two dogs now. One really old (13+ years) and one still a puppy (1 year old). While the old one stumbles and slips on her bad left hip, the pup does her best to try and knock her down. Ok, maybe not on purpose, but that is the end result.
The pup just wants to play and is confused why the old maid never wants to.
We have had to keep them seperated and out at different times. Sigh.

My dog has a new favorite thing: Our new scooter. He chases it like nothing, and of course since we only have a small engine scooter, he can outrun it while we are accelerating. He always looks worried and scared, but also extremely cute.
We got our scooter from Scooter 150cc Shop so click here to visit them.
Don’t worry, we’re always careful. He’s more likely to hurt us than we him on this thing.

Our dog loves to lick ears. I personally don’t see the appeal.
But he will contort his body and maneuver it in seemingly impossible ways in order to get even the tip of his tongue to touch one of our ears. And if he ever gets leverage, time to wash your face because the side of it will be drenched.
Do you know the symptoms of dog parvo?
Click here for a site I found that lists everything about the disease. It’s deadly, and fast, so don’t get caught unaware. You’re dog’s life could depend on it!
